Why We Built This Site

Texas permits access to many records, yet each custodian answers a different question. BCSO Central Records handles sheriff-created reports and detention material. The District Clerk keeps felony cases, while the County Clerk keeps Class A and B misdemeanor files. The Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division maintains the statewide CCH repository, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry and TDCJ Online Inmate Search serve narrower purposes. We organize the official links, contact details, published fees, and request routes so those boundaries are clear.
